To whom it may concern—
My name’s Mike. I’m not a politician, not a nonprofit, and I’m not selling anything.
I’m a dad with a six-year-old and a nine-year-old in public school, and I can’t shake the feeling that we’re walking into the future with yesterday’s tools—right as AI, energy costs, and inequality accelerate.
So for the last two weeks, I’ve been working intensively on The Fund Our Schools Challenge. I published it on my website last night (Christmas Eve), and this morning I’m sending it out broadly for one reason:
I want this to go viral enough that it lands on politicians’ doorsteps en masse on January 1st—so they start the year with a plan they can actually run with.
One transparency note: those two weeks sit on top of about nine months of nights and weekends teaching myself modern AI tools well enough to build something like this—with very little guidance. Mostly scattered posts, my own self-made guardrails, and the guardrails embedded in the tools themselves. I’m not claiming I’m special—I’m saying the tools are. The last two weeks showed me how much capacity gets unlocked when ordinary people have access and a safe lane to build in. It made me think: if our kids were taught and trusted with these tools—responsibly—what could they build by adulthood?
Here’s my ask—no money, no fundraising, no “join my thing,” no strings:
If you read page one (the one-pager) and you believe in it, please pass it on.
Post it. Quote it. Send it to someone bigger than you. Put it in front of your audience. I don’t care who gets credit—left, right, or center—if it gets done.
